API 661, Petroleum, Petrochemical, and Natural Gas Industries - Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, is a standard developed and released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) that provides requirements for the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and shipping of air-cooled heat exchangers for use in the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries. This standard was originally published in 1992, with the most recent 7th Edition being released in July of 2013.
