Jonathan D. Dobis: About the Author
Materials and Corrosion Director, The Equity Engineering Group, Inc.
Jon Dobis has over 35 years’ experience in Materials & Corrosion in the refining and chemical process industries including 10 years as a metallurgist at a major US refinery. Jon was the project manager and primary author of the API 571 document on “Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Refining Industry”. He is presently Acting Director of the Materials & Corrosion Group for Equity Engineering and has authored or co-authored more than 25 technical publications including five on the subject of corrosion in HF Alkylation Units. Jon has BS and MS degrees in Metallurgical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in several states.
