The Benefits of Non-Intrusive Inspection for Pressure Equipment

Gecko Robotics, October 28, 2022

Webinar Overview

The safe and reliable operation of pressure equipment is paramount to avoid potentially catastrophic failure. Therefore, guidelines require the periodic inspection of this equipment to test for internal degradation. Non-intrusive, or external, inspections utilize multiple technologies from the exterior of the vessel while it is in service to evaluate structural integrity. In accordance with API and international guidelines, external inspections in lieu of internal are permissible when certain criteria are met, including coverage and data requirements. Performing these inspections with robotics has several benefits, including safety, efficiency, data density, and resource savings.

Inspectioneering teams up with Brian O’Leary, API Program Manager, and Ron Preston, Director of Oil and Gas, from Gecko Robotics for our webinar, The Benefits of Non-Intrusive Inspection for Pressure Equipment. This webinar will discuss the guidance around non-intrusive inspections and the benefits when utilizing robot-based ultrasonic and phased array techniques.
