Those involved in the implementation or management of mechanical integrity (MI) programs understand the value of good feedback. An effective feedback loop is critical to ensuring your MI program is achieving the desired results.
Furthermore, analyzing and assessing this information can reveal opportunities for improving your MI program, such as introducing better methods, procedures, tools, and/or communication practices and identifying areas of vulnerability.
One of the most effective and valuable ways to acquire this feedback is by auditing your MI program. A thorough MI audit will provide a realistic assessment of the state of the program and in turn:
- Present reasons to celebrate and reenergize your program,
- Identify opportunities to incorporate new rules and measures,
- Reveal gaps and shortcomings, and
- Provide critical information to improve goal setting.
