In early 2019, mechanical integrity professionals from around the world packed into the Grand Ballroom of the Galveston Island Convention Center to attend John Reynolds’ keynote address at the API Inspection and Mechanical Integrity Summit. John spoke to an eager audience about a lifetime of personal and professional wisdom, expertly relating the two through his vast experience with both mountain climbing and mechanical integrity.
Merriam-Webster defines a keynote address as “an address designed to present the issues of primary interest to an assembly (such as a political convention) and often to arouse unity and enthusiasm.” John succeeded in creating an attitude of both unity and enthusiasm that lingered with the crowd throughout the rest of the Summit. API and Inspectioneering know that the message John delivered is so important to our industry that it should be made available to a wider audience than just those who attended. As such, we have worked with API to provide an online version of John’s keynote address.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to John Reynolds (as we and many others have time and time again) for his vast contributions to the world of fixed equipment mechanical integrity. This keynote address is simply one more building block atop a massive pyramid of knowledge John has constructed.
