Fire Reported at Valero's Meraux Refinery in South Louisiana

NOLA.com, February 8, 2017

A fire was reported Wednesday morning at Valero's 125,000 bpd Meraux Refinery just east of New Orleans. Thomas Stone, St. Bernard Parish fire chief, said about 8:40 a.m. that the fire was out and no one was hurt. The department said Valero personnel handled the response, with fire department crews on standby at the site in case they were needed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
