Dr. Gerry Koch is a Senior Principal Engineer at DNV GL USA in Columbus OH, USA. He received his MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Delft Technical University in the Netherlands, and his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a NACE Fellow with over 100 publications.
Gerry was author of the 2002 congressionally mandated “Cost of Corrosion” study that estimated the cost of corrosion in the US, and the more recent 2016 IMPACT study that provided an estimate of the global cost of corrosion and addressed corrosion in terms of business management. He contributed to the development of the of the corrosion management assessment tool IMPACT PLUS and is Qualified IMPACT PLUS Navigator.
