Dr. Kathy Buckingham is a Principal Engineer within DNV GL's Incident Investigation Group in Dublin, Ohio. In her career, Dr. Buckingham has conducted root cause analyses, failure analyses, and corrosion testing for the oil and gas, petrochemical, and maritime industries. She has also provided emergency response support and conducted field investigations of pipeline ruptures/leaks and failures. Prior to joining DNV GL, Dr. Buckingham worked for El Paso Corporation, where she provided metallurgical engineering, corrosion analysis, and emergency response support to various divisions within the company on issues involving pipelines, valves, reciprocating/rotating compressor components and related facilities, storage wells, and welding.
