Mr. Rutkowski, formerly the Corrosion Engineer and Risk Based Inspection Specialist for Sunoco's Northeast Refining Alkylation and connecting units, has more than 40 years of experience in the refining industry; working as a Laborer, a Refinery Boilermaker, Unit Operator, Maintenance Supervisor, Capital Construction Field Engineer, Turnaround Planner/Estimator, Authorized Code Inspector (API-510,570, 571, NBIC, CWI, NACE - Senior Corrosion Technologist), Piping and Equipment Reliability Program Supervisor, and Corrosion Engineer. He is an active member of NACE's International Petroleum Refining Specific Task Group (SG34) and has served on the committee for material selection on HF Alkylation Units and TG 302 Refining and Chemicals Material Selection Diagrams. Mr. Rutkowski is currently on the committee RP0294-94, Design, Fabrication, and Inspection of Storage Tanks Systems for Concentrated Fresh and Process Sulfuric Acid and Oleum at Ambient Temperatures, and on TG 393 Petroleum Refinery Corrosion Specialist Certification. He also serves on the API Inspection Standards Committee. In addition, Mr. Rutkowski holds the patent for Corrosion Ring Gauge and Method, an inspection tool for standardized raised-face flange corrosion evaluation.
