Strategic Sales Executive – Gulf Coast Region

You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on the PK Technology (PKT) Sales Team relating to all inspection services and specialty emphasis programs, including ongoing operations and turnaround opportunities.

More of the stuff you will do…

  • Works alongside Technical Services Team to plan, organize, and evaluate Owner Client projects to be performed in the field, with execution based on maximizing profitability and revenue growth with Owner Client.
  • Demonstrate the ability to sell inspection technology/software as a stand-alone solution OR in conjunction with inspection services as a differentiator.
  • Takes ownership of potential sales opportunities, including technical SME guidance in the sales process. 
  • Represents PKT with Owner Client organizations to build relationships for the current and future projects relating to inspections and turnaround services. 
  • Works as a liaison with management and existing Account Managers to develop and improve the strategic approach for related sales opportunities. This will also include additional inspection services related efforts beyond general inspection work. 
  • Assist with developing best practices and case studies driven from API industry standards and Owner Client specific expectations. 
  • Conducting customer relations for the purpose of maintaining positive relations with current and potential big business customers. Tasks include planning events, attending events, acknowledging business and good customers, setting up golf outings, making calls, sending out company materials, etc. Monitored by the Vice President of Sales through weekly meetings, and feedback from customers.
  • CRM & Sales Tools. Salesforce.com is our approved, and required, Owner Client Management & Sales Process database. This role will require daily/weekly/monthly reporting on sales activity and other sales metrics determined by the Vice President of Sales.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Attain quarterly bookings goal in the market segment
  • Generate and follow up on leads
  • Strategically qualify leads and sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate the ability to frame up client solution(s) through proposals
  • Ability to drive opportunities through the proposal sales cycle to generate bookings
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels with products being provided; document and distribute results
  • Ensure that required reports are filed on-time
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Develop a general understanding of the entire PK Technology service offering
  • Be cognizant of market trends and developments in the assigned market segment
  • Represent PK Technology at conferences, trade shows, professional meetings and industry forums as deemed appropriate by sales management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development with a proven track record in downstream market.
  • Bachelor Degree or minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Downstream Sales 
  • Familiarity with Mechanical Integrity, Inspection, and NDE
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Travel as required with an expectation in excess of 50%.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:
