Mr. White is a recognized industry expert in Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity (FEMI). During his years 36 years of experience, he has been involved with all aspects of FEMI in various roles from both owner/user site position and Corporate roles. Mr. White holds a BS Degree in Welding & Metallurgy from Texas A&M.
Clay retired as Corporate Director for Mechanical Integrity for Phillips 66 Global Refining (covered development, implementation and oversight of all mechanical integrity programs covering Corrosion / Materials, Fixed Equipment Engineering and Inspection Practices for 12 refineries worldwide).
He is active in API, AFPM / NPRA, NACE and MTI. Past Chair for the Subcommittee on Inspection and Mechanical Integrity (SCIMI). Current Chair on 3 Subcommittees including 584 Integrity Operating Windows, and two new subcommittees, 589 covering Mechanical Integrity Lessons Learned and 5XX on Principals of MI. Prior revision Chair for API 580 on Risk Based Inspection and several others, Co-Chair on the Inspection Summit Planning Committee and has held leadership roles for multiple other Standards / committees over the past 20+ years.
