Dr. Reza Azizian: About the Author
Mechanical Engineer - Vibration Specialist, Engineering & Inspection Services, LLC
Dr. Reza Azizian is an expert in the field of vibration and solid mechanics. He received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal. His doctoral research was focused on a detailed modeling of fretting-wear associated with tube-support interaction in nuclear steam generators. He has carried out extensive research in the field of contact-modeling which led to the development of two theoretical hybrid models for impact and friction. This project was conducted in collaboration with Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL) and Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W). He also worked on troubleshooting of different gas-turbine engines at Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC). Dr. Azizian has published several peer-reviewed research articles in the areas of vibration and contact modeling.
