Webinar Overview
Today’s industrial facilities have access to immense quantities of data. If properly leveraged, this data can enable the facility to improve safety performance, optimize maintenance and inspection tasks, and decrease overall spend. While humans are often unable to derive the full benefits of the available data, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) can strengthen our natural limitations, resulting in faster data analysis and better insights. Machine learning models can quickly sort through, organize, and clean massive amounts of input data such as process, operation, and design information, enabling facility leaders to make better-informed operational decisions.
To help better understand different data science and machine learning techniques that can help improve your reliability programs, Inspectioneering has teamed up with Pinnacle to bring you Leveraging Data Science and Machine Learning to Improve Your Reliability and Mechanical Integrity Programs, a one-hour webinar presented by Andrew Waters and Kevin Birkby. The topics discussed include corrosion modeling, inspection and maintenance task optimization, handling textual data, and more.
About the Speakers
Andrew Waters, Data Science at Pinnacle, focuses on developing data-driven algorithms to enhance a variety of reliability and maintenance applications. Dr. Waters specializes in utilizing machine learning methods to improve and augment human decision making. He has utilized these skills across a diverse set of industries including finance, communication systems, engineering, signal processing, optimizing student learning outcomes, and hiring and recruitment programs. Dr. Waters holds a doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University and is the author of over 20 publications in the areas of signal processing, machine learning, and Bayesian statistical methods.
Kevin Birkby, Partner at Pinnacle, is a senior member of Pinnacle Business Development Group. Kevin collaborates with current and prospective clients to develop custom asset integrity, reliability and inspection programs that meet the needs of a process facility’s growing challenges. Before joining Pinnacle, Kevin had more than 12 years of experience designing manufacturing solutions for wood and plastics fabrication facilities. He consulted on air-pollution control for similar clients and designed systems and piping to maintain clean working environments when large amounts of contaminants were being generated in manufacturing processes.
