Who This Course Is For

This course is intended for those who specify, perform, or evaluate the results of FFS assessments. It is not a cursory overview but rather a deep dive into the principles and practice of FFS assessments according to API 579-1. The course provides specific training in most Level 1 and Level 2 assessment methods. Based on feedback from past students, this course is tailored to prepare students with the ability to navigate real-world FFS problems rather than simply providing an overview of FFS methodology. For engineers, detailed calculations are presented and included in the examples and classwork problems. Inspectors will leave with an understanding of what inspections are required to support a FFS assessment and how those inspections will be used in FFS assessments. Additionally, there will be detailed discussions, examples, and classwork problems covering Level 1 assessment methods.
