Course Description

This course provides an introduction to the basics of pressure relief devices (PRDs) for mechanical integrity professionals. Topics covered include a review of pertinent codes and standards for pressure relief, recognition of PRD installation issues, mitigation of deficiencies that cause pressure relief valve (PRV) instability, maintaining PRV reliability through best practices in inspection and testing, and finally, a discussion on procedures to prevent overpressure during maintenance.

This course includes:

  • 1.40 hours of on-demand video, including comprehension checks and an exam
  • CPD and PDH eligible, with a certificate provided upon completion
  • Access for 90 days upon beginning the course
