MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MG), a leading "one source" global provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions, announced that the company's Anchorage, AK – USA team has earned a ConocoPhillips 2022 Supplier Recognition Award.
The Supplier Recognition Awards honor recipient companies for exhibiting exceptional leadership in observance of ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT Values. The ConocoPhillips global business units generated nominations internally, with winners selected by a cross-functional committee of senior management.
MISTRAS was recognized in the category of “Doing Business Better” for their collaborative work with ConocoPhillips and other contractors in Alaska, including taking over the program with no health, safety, and environment (HSE) incidents or disruptions to service; identifying and exploiting new and improved technology for more effective inspections; improving crew morale through training and recognition; partnering collaboratively with ConocoPhillips Alaska (COPA) personnel; and passing the Contractor HSE audit with zero non-conformances and only three minor recommendations. MISTRAS was the only company in Alaska to win this prestigious award for 2022.
“At MISTRAS, we strive to be a best-in-class partner to our customers, and this recognition shows that our team is living up to that standard,” said David Thigpen, Senior Group Vice President of Operations. “I commend our entire Alaska team, whose dedication to our values and resulting performance earned this award.”
“We are proud to have our performance recognized in this way by ConocoPhillips, a true global industry leader,” said Matt Wenning, General Manager of MISTRAS’ Anchorage branch. “To be the only company selected from the competitive Alaska market is further endorsement of our focus on safe and high-quality execution and of our unique business offering. I want to extend my congratulations to the entire team for earning this achievement.”
MISTRAS’ Anchorage branch works primarily with upstream and midstream assets in the Alaska region to help ensure asset and mechanical integrity, with advanced and traditional non-destructive testing (NDT) services including radiography (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT), eddy current testing (ET), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), visual testing (VT), and acoustic emission (AE). In addition, the Anchorage branch is the home of MISTRAS’ automated radiographic testing (ART) Crawler services program, helping to design and deliver innovative non-invasive robotic corrosion inspection services for piping and pipelines.
