Corpus Christi Polymers, LLC (CCP) recently announced its plans to resume construction of its integrated purified terephthalic acid-polyethylene terephthalate (PET-PTA) complex in Corpus Christi, Texas. Scheduled to begin in August, proposed restart of construction on the plant follows a previous halt to development activities amid pandemic-related disruptions. Once complete, it is expected to be the largest vertically integrated PTA-PET production facility in the Americas.
Russel Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of CCP, said "with the full support of the Joint Venture Partners (Indorama Ventures Corpus Christi Holdings LLC, DAK Americas LLC, and APG Polytech USA Holdings) we look forward to building a world-class organization and state-of-the-art asset."
