Equity Engineering Acquires CorrSolutions to Bring a New Generation of Thickness Data Analysis Tools to the Market

The Equity Engineering Group, October 1, 2020

E2G | The Equity Engineering Group, Inc. announced today that it has acquired CorrSolutions, LLC, a specialty corrosion, materials & inspection engineering consulting firm serving the refining and petrochemical industries. This acquisition will pair E2G’s innovative asset management and high performance computing technology with the advanced thickness modeling and analysis techniques of CorrSolutions. A new generation of thickness data analysis tools is on the horizon.

The acquisition of CorrSolutions is in line with all of E2G’s asset integrity management offerings, making it an excellent fit with our current FFS and RBI consulting offerings and software solutions. We plan to use CorrSolutions technology in our consulting as well as make it available to our clients through a web interface, similar to E2G’s Cloud Tools, and an advanced computation technology backend including true CML optimization,” noted David Osage, P.E., ASME Fellow, President & CEO of E²G.

Thickness monitoring and data management need an overhauled, next-generation approach to optimize inspection expense and reduce effort. Optimal placement of condition monitoring locations, advanced analysis and interpretation of thickness data, and understanding of applicable damage mechanisms are all paramount to asset management programs throughout the industry. It’s easy to get lost in a sea of data and lose sight of the real goals:

  • Identifying areas of vulnerability
  • Getting useful information to frontline inspection personnel
  • Reducing failures in process plants

Mike Sparago has owned and operated CorrSolutions with a small, dedicated team for over 20 years and is excited about the short and long-term possibilities for his patent-pending Advanced Degradation Analysis technology. As stated by Mike, “CorrSolutions has been fortunate to have worked with great customers who embraced innovation in their inspection programs for 22 years. With E2G’s resources, we are looking forward to expanding our horizons, providing the next generation of analysis tools to a broader customer base.
