COVID-19 and the resulting economic conditions have further complicated the landscape. Facilities across the country are being idled or running at lower rates, and/or operating with reduced manpower. Many companies are being forced to make difficult decisions and lay off valuable employees due to the current market conditions. In May, Chevron announced it was laying off up to 15% of its workforce amid restructuring. BP, CVR Energy, and HollyFrontier Corporation recently made similar announcements.

“Now may not look like the best time to launch a staffing business, but we see this as an opportunity to help the industry recover,” says Inspectioneering President Tyler Alvarado. “Facilities are still operating and companies must continue to keep them running reliably.
