2 Killed in Large Explosion at Watson Grinding Facility in NW Houston

Early this morning, a large explosion at the Watson Grinding and Manufacturing facility in northwest Houston killed two people and damaged nearby homes. Officials said ingredients used to make polypropylene were released from the explosion, but there were no significant problems with air quality in the surrounding area. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

For over 50 years, Watson Grinding has provided Machining, Grinding, Lapping & Thermal Spray Coatings to its customers in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Mining industries.
