Johns Manville Industrial Insulation Group presents: “Thin Blanket Insulation Considerations for Industrial Applications,” the upcoming professional development webinar focused on best practices and specifications for thin blanket insulations.

On Wednesday, December 5, at 2:00 PM ET, Johns Manville Industrial Insulation Group will present the industrial insulation industry with an informative live webinar, "Thin blanket Insulation Considerations for Industrial Applications.” This webinar addresses the important considerations that can help to improve specifications, implement best practices for installation, and understand the impact of thin blankets on industrial hygiene. Thin blanket insulations offer low-profile and flexibility,” but “it’s important that designers and installers consider the unique performance characteristics of thin blanket insulation and the impact it can have on industrial hygiene” said JM’s Industrial Hygiene Manager, Kelly Sandin.

The webinar will be presented by three industry experts from the Johns Manville team, Kelly Sandin, Industrial Hygiene Manager; Jack Bittner, Industrial Senior Product Manager; and Kim Melton, Senior Technical Editor. The collaborative team will discuss important considerations for industrial applications of thin blanket insulation and review the following topics:

  • Key influencers in thermal performance
  • The impact of weep holes on drying wet insulation
  • Recent results from industrial hygiene sampling (dust exposure)
  • Thin blankets in high-vibration environments
  • Insulation materials influence on corrosion under insulation
  • Best practices for installation

This webinar is developed for engineers, specifiers, facility owners, operation managers, contractors/ installers and other professionals in the industrial industry who are considering the installation and benefits of thin blanket insulations.
