PASADENA, TEXAS – October 16, 2018

PinnacleART, a global leader in designing, implementing, and maintaining asset reliability and integrity programs, has added rope access services to its repertoire of inspection services. Rope access helps inspectors performing non-destructive testing (NDT) or other mechanical services gain access to and from work areas that are difficult to reach, resulting in safer, quicker inspections.

“Our rope access teams can be deployed quickly and effectively without the time required for traditional scaffolding,” says Phillip Deniston, Rope Access Manager at PinnacleART. “As a result, we are able to perform inspections without creating congestion above or below the work area which allows us to better monitor the asset integrity of our clients’ facilities.”

One key benefit of rope access is the cost savings experienced when comparing its cost to more traditional access methods such as scaffolding. In addition, rope access improves the efficiency and the safety of the inspectors. All of PinnacleART’s rope access technicians are certified according to the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) and/or the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT). In addition, all rope access equipment is continually monitored as part of a quality assurance program.

Rope access can be used for a variety of traditional and advanced NDT testing services, including:

  • API Visuals
  • Automated Erosion/Corrosion Scans
  • Corrosion Under Insulation
  • Guided Wave (MsS)
  • Infrared (IR)
  • Liquid Penetrant
  • Magnetic Particle
  • Phased Array
  • Pulsed Eddy Current
  • Retro PMI
  • Shear Wave
  • Straight Beam UTT
  • Time of Flight Diffraction
