Johns Manville Industrial Insulation and ASTM Co-Host Live Webinar: “Know the Code”

Johns Manville Industrial Insulation, February 5, 2018

Johns Manville Industrial Insulation Group and ASTM will be co-hosting a free, live webinar about the changes in industrial standards & specifications. The webinar, Know the Code: Understanding Industrial Standards & Specifications, will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm ET and will be co-hosted by Mary Mikolajewski, from ASTM and Doug Fast, P.E. from Johns Manville.

Johns Manville and ASTM will present information on many of the facets of industrial specification requirements, including:

  • Properly interpreting material standards when specifying insulation
  • Pitfalls that can drive your specifications out of compliance
  • What is ASTM and how they develop standard specifications
  • Evolutions of C16 Standards

This webinar is intended to provide designers, specifiers and engineers of industrial insulation systems with new and important information regarding system design and standards. “Staying up to speed with the ever-changing industrial standard specification requirements can be difficult and time-consuming,” said Doug Fast, P.E, Sr. Research Engineer at Johns Manville. “That’s why we’re co-hosting a webinar with ASTM to address the evolution of system codes and understand how that affects system design.”

About ASTM:

ASTM’s thermal insulation standards are instrumental in specifying and evaluating the materials and methods used to reduce the rate of heat transfer. The flow of heat can be delayed by understanding the conductive, convective and//or radiative behavior of the material in consideration. Over 12,000 ASTM standards operate globally. ASTM standards work across borders, disciplines and industries to harness the expertise of over 30,000 members to improve the performance in manufacturing and materials, products and processes, systems and services.
