Global Conference Program Announced for Houston Premier Pigging Event

Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management Conference, November 21, 2017

PPIM, the pipeline industry’s only conference and exhibition devoted exclusively to pigging for maintenance and inspection, will be held from 31 January to 1 February 2018 in Houston, Texas.

Organized by Clarion Technical Conferences and Tiratsoo Technical (a division of Great Southern Press), the Pipeline Pigging and Integrity Management (PPIM) Conference and Exhibition is the largest event devoted solely to pipeline inspection, drawing engineering-management and field-operating personnel from both transmission and distribution companies concerned with improved operations and integrity management.  Now in its 30th year, the event will be hosted at the George R. Brown Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Houston, Texas.

Registration is now open, with early bird discounts available until 2 January 2018.

The comprehensive conference program has now been announced, and features technical papers covering inline inspection (ILI) data assessment, prioritization of repairs, new tools, improving tool performance, external coating inspection with ILI tools, pig launch and receiving systems, new regulations, pipeline cleaning, and more.

The program has been organized with the help of an advisory committee consisting of representatives from some of the world’s most prominent industry owners, operators and consultants, including DNV GL, Chevron, Spectra Energy, Kinder Morgan, Enbridge and BP.

The conference program is supported by an exhibition representing 160 providers of pigging, ILI and integrity management products and services. Many companies will have schedule demonstrations or presentations, which offer a unique opportunity to learn about new products from the engineers and specialists involved in their development.

In addition to the Conference and Exhibition, a number of training courses will be held preceding the event, covering everything from advanced pipeline risk management, and new pipeline regulations to pipeline repair methods and managing cracks and seam weld anomalies on pipelines.
