Ineos Gas Pipeline Leak Reported in Scotland

Reuters, May 2, 2017

Chemicals firm Ineos said on Tuesday it had detected a gas leak at its Grangemouth site in Scotland and emergency services were at the scene as a "precautionary measure." A number of access gates had been closed and are allowing only essential personnel to enter the south side of the site, Ineos said in a statement. The leak, detected at noon local time, was on a pipeline inside its Kinneil Gas manufacturing plant.

"Emergency services are in attendance and we requested that Police Scotland close the Wholeflats Road as a precautionary measure," Ineos said, adding it had mobilised its incident management team and only essential personnel were being allowed in and out of the south side of the plant.
