BASF Completes Expansion Project in Beaumont, TX

BASF Corp., the North American arm of German chemical giant BASF SE, recently announced it has completed a 3 year, $270 million expansion project at the company's chemical plant in Beaumont, TX. The Beaumont plant is the largest of 9 agricultural product sites, and the only facility in the U.S. that manufactures dicamba, an herbicide.

The agricultural market is changing, and growers are demanding the newest and most effective technologies to increase profitability,” said Paul Rea, the senior vice president of crop protection for BASF's North American operations. "We could not have done this without our skilled workforce in Beaumont and across North America who not only help growers, but also help drive our economy.”
