Largest New U.S. Refinery Since the 1970s Coming to Texas

Raven Petroleum LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Houston-based Raven Resources Group, LLC, is planning to build the largest new refinery in the U.S. since the 1970s in South Texas.  The South Texas Energy Complex, located just East of Laredo, Texas, will process up to 50,000 barrels per day of crude oil from the Eagle Ford shale and will have a storage tank capacity of 4,000,000 barrels.  Raven Petroleum plans to export gas from the refinery by rail, possibly to Mexico. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
