ConocoPhillips Looking to Sell Alaskan LNG Plant

ConocoPhillips is shopping its 47 year old Kenai LNG Plant in Alaska, citing difficult market conditions in a statement released on Thursday. "Our efforts to market the plant are consistent with our company's efforts to regularly review our assets to ensure we are optimizing our portfolio," ConocoPhillips said in the statement.

Until Cheniere Energy began exporting LNG from its Louisiana facility earlier this year, the Kenai LNG Plant was the only LNG export facility in the United States.
