Fire Breaks Out a PBF Energy's Torrance Refinery on Tuesday, November 16, 2016

A fire broke out at PBF Energy's 155,000 bpd Torrance Refinery on Tuesday. The fire reportedly originated in the plant's alkylation unit, and was eventually extinguished by the Torrance Fire Department after a one and a half hour battle. Three employees were evaluated for injuries but not treated, police said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
