East Coast Oil Terminals Re-Starting in Wake of Hurricane Matthew

Reuters, October 11, 2016

Following last week's deadly brush with Hurricane Matthew, oil and gas facilities along the East Coast are restarting operations. Terminals in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Jacksonville have reopened, according to Ned Bowman, chief executive of the Florida Petroleum Marketers Association, a trade association focused on gasoline distribution in the state.

Florida terminals did not sustain major damage and efforts are underway to get gasoline to crews working to restore power to areas where the storm did the most significant damage.  Terminals on the South Carolina and Georgia coasts were also shut in preparation of the storm. South Carolina terminals said they were surveying damage and aiming to open this week.
