Catalytic Cracker Taken Offline Following Leak at PDVSA's Amuay Refinery

A catalytic cracking unit at Petroleos de Venzuela's (PDVSA) 955,000 bpd Paraguaná Refinery Complex was reportedly taken offline on Tuesday following an mechanical issue with a valve, a union official told Reuters. The unit is part of the 645,000 bpd Amuay Refinery which, in addition to the Cardon Refinery and Bajo Grande Refinery, make up the third largest refining complex in the world.
