French oil and gas company Total has shut down the fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) at its 102,000 bpd Grandpuits Refinery for maintenance, a company spokesman said.

The shutdown of the unit, which produces about 31,000 barrels-per-day of light products such as petrol and diesel, will last several days and does not affect operations in other parts of the refinery, the spokesman said.
