Crimson Pipeline Leaks 700 Barrels of Crude in Califonia

Last week, a California pipeline operated by Crimson Pipeline LLC leaked an estimated 700 barrels of crude in Ventura County. Fortunately, the spilled oil settled in a dry creek bed and did not make its way into the Pacific Ocean, according to county officials. The California state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the leak with assistance from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). The Crimson pipeline supplies crude to Tesoro Corp's 257,300 barrel per day (bpd) Carson refinery, near Los Angeles, but the leak is not expected to impact production.
