CCRL Refinery Worker Scalded by Hot Diesel

An employee at Consumers Co-Op Refinery Limited's (CCRL) facility in Saskatchewan suffered burns to his lower legs Thursday morning due to an accidental release of hot diesel. The worker was reportedly performing a routine gauge inspection when the release occurred. Brad DeLorey, director of communications and public relations for the refinery, says the company will "immediately begin an investigation" to determine the cause of the incident. Furthermore, Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety will be going to the refinery to conduct its own inspection.
