P66 Nearing Deal to Divest Ireland Refinery

U.S refiner Phillips 66 is reportedly close to a deal to sell its 71,000 bpd Whitegate Refinery located in southern Ireland. According to Reuters, several companies are in talks with P66, including Irving Oil and Valero Energy, however it is unclear at this point who the front runner is. It is also unclear whether the potential buyer(s) plans to keep the refinery running, or close it and use it for storage only.
