Major Polyethylene Expansion at Dow Freeport Roughly 50% Complete

Dow Chemical is progressing along with its polyethylene expansion project at the company's plant in Freeport, Texas. The focus of the expansion is building a new 1.5 million mt/year ethylene cracker, which will use ethane as its feedstock, but have up to 30% of initial propane flexibility. The expansion is expected to be complete in mid-2017, according to Dow.
