Citgo to Re-Open Shuttered Refinery in Aruba

Citgo Petroleum, the U.S.based subsidiary of Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, has reached an agreement with the Aruban government to reopen the country's 235,000 bpd refinery, which was formerly operated by Valero Energy before being shuttered several years ago. Aruban Energy Minister Mike de Mesa said the agreement calls for the rehabilitation of the facility and gives Citgo a 15-year operational lease with a 10-year extension option.
