Worker Killed in Rosneft Refinery Accident

A worker was killed at Rosneft's 160,000 bpd oil refinery in Komsomolsk, Russia this week. The contract worker was testing one of the facility's pipelines which was undergoing maintenance at the time of the accident, according to a statement released by the refinery's public relations team. The exact cause of the accident has yet to be announced. Rosneft is one of the world's largest O&G refiners, owning and operating seven major oil refineries in the country, and having ownership interests in other refining and petrochemical plants as well.
