Earlier this year, Inspectioneering had the privilege of hosting our 13th “Meeting of the Minds” (MOTM) roundtable discussion in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an event that we take great pride in facilitating, and for the last seven years, with the support of our friends at Pinnacle, we’ve brought together a select group of leaders in mechanical integrity (MI) to discuss pertinent issues related to fixed equipment reliability. This diverse group of participants comes from various sectors of the industry (e.g., oil refining, petrochemicals, offshore production, and chemical processing), and through this forum, they share their unique experiences and perspectives, openly discuss new ideas, and discover opportunities to improve their MI programs.
Recap articles from each of our previous MOTM discussions are available in the IJ archives, and summarize key takeaways from our discussions on corrosion under insulation (CUI) programs, risk-based inspection (RBI), data collection, analysis, and validation, organizational capability and competency development, and most recently, new software tools and NDE technologies.
The theme of this discussion centered around Codes, Standards, and Recommended Practices. And while it’s impossible to include every detail of the conversation in this short recap article, here are some of the highlights.
