Job Responsibilities:

POND is currently looking for a self-motivated Mechanical Integrity Engineer eager to learn and develop into an integral part of the team. The ideal candidate should possess an engineering degree and be comfortable with domestic and international short term travel up to 50%. The successful candidate will perform field evaluations on storage tanks, piping systems, and pressure vessels in industrial settings, and therefore should be adept at field and office activities. Excellent communications and engineering report writing skills are a must.

Job Qualifications:
Work assignments will include: • Conduct integrity inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on storage tanks, pressure vessel, and process piping • Analyze and assess field data for storage tanks, pressure vessels, and process piping for compliance with standards and regulations • Development and preparation of technical documents (inspection reports, work plans, etc.) for review by a Professional Engineer • Engineering evaluation of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and process piping for continued service. • Development of preliminary repairs and alterations to storage tanks, pressure vessels, and process piping and other associated components for review by a Professional Engineer. • Development and review of schematics • Development of mechanical integrity and inspection plans Requirements: • US Citizen eligible for a US Passport • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred) from an ABET accredited program • 5 to 10 years of experience in storage tank, pressure vessel, and process piping integrity, design, and/or mechanical integrity program management • Strong technical and project management skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems amongst numerous personnel. • Well-organized with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word. • Approximately 50% of travel required • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a growing environment While not required, preference will be provided to the candidates who possess the following: • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or PE certification • American Petroleum Institute (API) certifications – API 510, 570, 653 • NDE/NDT certifications – Visual, Ultrasonic Thickness, Magnetic Flux Leakage, Liquid Penetrant • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certifications • Coating Inspection certifications – NACE CIP-1 • Fabrication and/or welding experience
