Senior Electronic Engineer Technician

Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Engineer Technician who will provide support in the assembly, testing, maintenance, manufacturing and deployment of proprietary NDT (non-destructive testing) tools for the petrochemical industry.  The Senior Electronic Engineer Technician will play a critical role within the development of prototypes and shaping product development. Creativity and latitude is expected.

The position will be based in Kent, Washington.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist Engineers in the development effort of custom NDT inspection equipment
  • Create, edit and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets
  • Test custom electronics and system integration of UT (ultrasonic) and other NDT sensors
  • Integrate customized electrical mechanic systems
  • Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, test and repair
  • Solder, crimp, and small wire harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, including keeping the shop a clean and safe working environment
  • Make safety a top priority at all times

  • Performance of other job duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 7+ years’ experience in electrical assembly and troubleshooting, manufacturing testing and mechanical assembly
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (OrCAD and Allegro optional) is required
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude with mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Experience using small hand tools and other type of power equipment found in a development lab is required
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers is required
  • Experience performing accurate and detailed surface-mount soldering using a microscope
  • Requires machining experience and ability to read fabrication drawings and electrical schematics
  • Must be detail oriented with strong communication and problem solving skills
