Gulf Coast Business Development Manager

Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for selling Laser Scanning, Remote Digital Visual Inspection and Drafting Services within the Gulf Coast Region.

The Business Development Manager shall develop, maintain, and advance client relationships through sales strategies and client contacts, resulting in new contracts and added value for our clients. This person shall consistently advocate and adhere to sales process and procurement integrity guidelines and be responsible for the development and management of sales, relationships and presentation efforts.

The Business Development Manager must be able to formally quote each service offering and develop, seek and report market intelligence data as required in the specified region or as needed to obtain targeted sales. Must work collaboratively with operations, management and local account managers by providing sales, marketing and commercial support as needed.

The position will be based in Sugar Land, Texas.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, internal operations, inside sales team, and cultivates new clients.
  • Meet sales objectives within specified timeframes.
  • Assume primary responsibility for client relationships and sales strategies.
  • Partner with Regional Management to identify new developments and propose growth related initiatives.
  • Work closely with management and operations throughout the sales process.
  • Lead pricing strategy development and pricing reviews, and develops bid & proposal estimates.
  • Negotiate contracts through collaboration with and support from operations and management.
  • Work with sales and operations teams to assess resource availability and assemble project teams.
  • Conduct client visits and deliver technical presentations and perform site walk downs.
  • Gather project-specific data, generate technical quotations, establish project timelines and determine associated price/costs.
  • Maintain accounts in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Participate in at least one field project each year to develop and maintain practical field experience.
  • Maintain firm commitment to our Guiding Principles.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Behaviors and Skills

  • 5+ years of sales and industry related experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of refining, power, chemical and petrochemical industries.
  • Familiarity with engineering, inspection, plant maintenance & procedures and project management.
  • Familiarity with integrity management is preferred.
  • Ability to assimilate customer requirements and offer appropriate solutions.
  • Produce accurate work within specified time requirements.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proactive in inviting feedback and acting on it to drive optimum performance.
  • Ability to multi-task, dependability and consistency are required.
  • Must possess a flexible and adaptive approach to working and time management.
  • Proven ability to interact with and effectively manage input from multiple stakeholders to deliver business unit and enterprise goals.
  • Takes direction and works well individually and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated, and diplomatic and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Travel requirement: 50%.
  • Confidently deliver presentations to technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills required.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment; occasional refinery and plant visits.
