Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer

Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Integrity Engineer who will be responsible for effectively managing the development and activities of our pipeline integrity services in North American markets (US, Canada, and Mexico) to include business development, project delivery and product development.

The position will be based in Stafford, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual and long-term North American business plan for Pipeline Integrity.
  • Identify and create new opportunities for pipeline integrity advanced engineering
  • Identify new service and product development needs.
  • Responsible for delivery of regional revenue and profit targets.
  • Conduct client visits and deliver technical presentations.
  • Provide technical direction related to pipeline integrity, including fitness for service assessment, failure analysis and additional assessments based upon in-line inspection data.
  • Align and engage with regional sales members, including sales calls and regional meetings and supporting customer visits.
  • Manage projects, budgets and deliverables.
  • Support origination of commercial opportunities and generate commercial income for the group.
  • Ensure the level of quality is maintained on all deliverables.
  • Present capabilities at conferences and seminars.
  • Provide input into development of team, including future development and recruiting.
  • Make safety a top priority at all times.
  • Maintain firm commitment to Quest Integrity’s Guiding Principles.
  • Performance of other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • MS or BS in related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience and technical knowledge in pipeline integrity engineering is required.
  • 5+ years minimum employed by a pipeline owner/operator.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant pipeline codes and standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with management of pipeline integrity engineering projects.
  • Experience in performing integrity assessments of pipeline threats including corrosion, outside damage, long seam anomalies, and stress corrosion cracking.
  • Experience in performing pipeline integrity assessments including assessment using in-line inspection data is desired.
  • Experience working with a team performing engineering assessments using mechanics, computational mechanics, and finite element analysis is desired.
  • Proven ability to interact with and effectively manage input from multiple stakeholders to deliver business unit and enterprise goals.
  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated, and diplomatic and be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Travel requirement: 30%
  • Confidently deliver presentations to technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills required.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment with visits to industry environments.
