Webinar Description
On July 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (CST) John Nyholt from John Nyholt Consulting will discuss how the industry is bridging the gap between NDT technician qualifications and API inspection code requirements. API In-service inspection codes are increasingly reliant on material flaw detection, characterization and sizing for risked-based inspection and fitness-for-service assessments. Inspection technology advancements, new NDT methods, and improvements to existing inspection technologies are now capable of providing additional information on the type, extent and trending of equipment damage and a significant reduction in inconclusive or false call data. The API NDT technician Qualification Exam program uses practical hands-on exams to identify and measure NDT technicians' skills to meet these new challenges.
