API 579/ASME FFS-1 (2016 updates) Fitness-For-Service Workshop

Stress Engineering Services, September 19, 2017

EVENT OVERVIEW

This course will provide training in the fitness-for-service evaluation methods of the API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 (2016) Standard…including the many new additions and changes in the 2016 edition. Attendees will learn the basic rules and principles for Level 1 and Level 2 assessments of damaged equipment.

This 3½ day course will cover all of the sections of API 579, from Part 3 (Brittle Fracture) to the new Part 14 (Fatigue) and also review introductory materials in Parts 1 and 2. Numerous hands-on examples, case studies, quizzes and class-work assignments will provide a departure from a straight lecture format and maximize participant involvement. Numerous demonstrations and guest lectures are also included to provide real-world techniques and solutions to fitness-for-service problems.
