Inspectioneering is proud to announce the addition of Ana Benz to the editorial board. Ana comes to us from Apave IRISNDT in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Ms. Benz has a long and respected background in NDE, inspection, metallurgy, and failure analysis, having published numerous articles on these subjects for Inspectioneering.
Ana has over 40 years of professional engineering experience in the oil, gas, chemical, and petrochemical industry in North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. Her expertise includes failure analyses on metallic and non-metallic materials such as elastomers, lined pipe, fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) components, corrosion-resistant alloys in chemical and petrochemical processing facilities, and ferrous materials in manufacturing and fabrication. She also has extensive experience in failure analysis project coordination with pressure vessel manufacturing, as well as developing inspection and repair programs. Additionally, Ana is experienced in the development of welding techniques and procedures.
I first met Ana over 20 years ago when our paths crossed at society meetings in Canada and the United States. I was impressed by her knowledge, humility, experience, and passion to make the industry safer and more successful.
Inspectioneering Editorial Board members provide valuable support to us with reviews of articles. They also collaborate to provide advice and guidance on industry challenges, codes and standards, best practices, emerging technologies, and many other insights that allow us to better serve the Inspectioneering community. We are excited to welcome Ana to the Inspectioneering family!
