An Enlarged Scope, Expanded Vision, and Evolved Strategy

Inspectioneering has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years -- in terms of corporate members, readership, and reach. Our growth has given us significant exposure and insight into the needs of the industry, affording us the opportunity to evaluate where we fit in today and where we can fit in tomorrow. Upon reflection, we’ve come to the conclusion that we can do a lot more to serve our community and bring others into the fold.

For the better part of Inspectioneering’s history, our focus was almost solely on Inspectioneering Journal. But, as times change, so do people. As you’re probably well aware, statistics show that there is a rapid growing preference for new media. These statistics hold true irrespective of industry or age. Not everyone prefers to learn from long-form technical articles. Whether it’s videos, infographics, blog posts, or other modern content formats, people want options. Fortunately, advances in technology are making it easier to provide these options. We’ve decided it is time to evolve.

While the Journal remains the cornerstone of Inspectioneering, we’ve broadened our scope to work toward a more comprehensive and diverse offering. Our vision is to offer the industry a suite of resources that educate and inform members, advance the state of asset integrity, and connect the global Inspectioneering community.

If you spent any time on Inspectioneering.com prior to 2017, you might understand why overhauling our website was step one. It didn’t reflect our vision. It didn’t convey who we have become and where we are going. Even worse, it didn’t offer members and visitors an easy, intuitive path to answers.

After months of strategizing, planning, and design, we’ve launched the new Inspectioneering.com. The website unites all of our content and provides users with a cleaner, easier experience. It was also designed with diversification and growth in mind. As we continue to increase the types of resources we make available to the community, the website will allow for them to be integrated seamlessly.

What does this mean to you? We spent hundreds of hours researching, studying browsing habits, and reviewing feedback before a single change was made. The single most important objective was to design a site that helps you win. We’ve built better paths to help you research more efficiently and improved the experience to help you learn more effectively.

Inspectioneering will continue to evolve as a valuable and reliable resource that drives improvement within organizations and propels members of our community to greater success. The new Inspectioneering.com is just the beginning of what’s to come. Stay tuned.
