Sergey Vinogradov: About the Author

Dr. Sergey Vinogradov is a Staff Engineer in the Structural Engineering Department of Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He has 34 years of experience in developing applications of ultrasonics and magnetics to various NDE problems. He pioneered high-powered magnetostrictive transducers used for the long-range guided wave inspection of industrial components, authored 34 patents, and published more than 75 conference and peer-to-peer reviewed papers in the field of NDE. Dr. Vinogradov is a winner of ASNT 2024 Ward Rummel Engineering Excellence Award.
