Ian Thompson: About the Author

Ian Clifford Thompson, Hydratight Global Technical Authority, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University and an MBA from the University of Bradford. He joined Hydratight in 1985 as a design engineer and progressed to Works Engineer from 1997-2009. Ian transformed manufacturing operation to a lean and efficient operation significantly increasing output by approximately 20 times. Seconded to China from 2009-2013 in the role of Engineering Leader, he remained in the Asian Pacific region from 2013-2016 establishing an effective technical support network.
