Senior Engineering Consultant, Saudi Aramco
Nasser M. Balhareth recently retired from Saudi Aramco where he was a senior consultant with the Saudi Aramco Consulting Services Department. He received a B.S. degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering in 1987 from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, KSA. Nasser has over 33 years of total industry experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. His areas of expertise are AIM systems, inspection and RBI, and assessment and integrity reviews of plant equipment and systems. He has authored and co-authored several papers and engineering reports as well as developed several corporate engineering standards in asset integrity, inspection, failure analysis, and asset life assessment. He has also led several life extension and technical due diligence studies on refineries, gas, and petrochemical plants. Nasser has also served as an API voting member in risk-based inspection standards and reviewing member in API standards committees, plus developed several corporate standards, procedures, engineering reports, and technical alerts.
